Tournament Format

For The The Pinnacle, each player brings 4 unique class decks and each series is a best of 5.

 

The tournament uses a new "coup" format. Before the match starts, players announce which class they will be using at the same time. Then, they are given a chance to eliminate their opponent's deck after knowing the matchup ("the coup"). A coup'ed deck can never be used again in the whole series, and this power can only be used once per series.

 

The group stages are played in a Double-Elimination format, where the 2-0 winner gets seeded into the semifinals while the two 1-1 players advance to the quarterfinals.

 

In the Single Elimination playoffs, the 1st place winner will receive the grand prize of $2,500USD, with 2nd receiving $1,500USD, and the 3rd/4th finishers $500USD.
